The Making of a Ring

Nothing brings me more excitement than being asked to create something custom and unique. After choosing the perfect stone, in this case a Herkimer diamond, it's time to start carving. From the initial cut to the final carved design, it takes me about three hours to finish. Once satisfied with the final wax model, it's time to cast. Using this technique, I'm able to cast my pieces in the following metals: sterling silver, fine silver, 10kt-22kt gold (yellow, white, rose and green), and platinum. For this ring, my client opted for sterling silver.

This is the final cast piece with a high polish finish. Hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it.
