Overnight Oats

After receiving many inquiries about my overnight oats recipe, I thought I would share.
It's super easy to prep, no more than 5 minutes! I prepare it all in a mason jar.

  • Add 1 cup of Old Fashion rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup of milk (I used coconut milk)
  • Add a layer of chia seeds
  • Add a layer of almonds

Close the jar and shake. Open it up again and top it with almond roasted granola. The granola is added at the very end, so that it doesn't get soggy.

  • Refrigerate overnight

I personally prefer to eat it cold, but you can microwave it for 30 to 60 seconds. Enjoy!

The Making of a Ring

Nothing brings me more excitement than being asked to create something custom and unique. After choosing the perfect stone, in this case a Herkimer diamond, it's time to start carving. From the initial cut to the final carved design, it takes me about three hours to finish. Once satisfied with the final wax model, it's time to cast. Using this technique, I'm able to cast my pieces in the following metals: sterling silver, fine silver, 10kt-22kt gold (yellow, white, rose and green), and platinum. For this ring, my client opted for sterling silver.

This is the final cast piece with a high polish finish. Hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Expressing Yourself Authentically

When we go out to into the world, we have a tendency of hiding our true selves behind a "mask". This is especially true for women. We either hide our pain due to embarrassment or hide our victories in order not to offend others. Dr. Anya Temer addresses this issue in the video below.

Awaken Your Soul

In her own words, Zita explains the importance of the Ong Namo chant for the Soul. "Your Soul or your Spirit tends to be very shy and not used to expressing itself. Of course the amount of that expression varies from person to person but the bottom line is that everyone finds it difficult. The Ong Namo chant is like a song the snake charmer might play to entice the cobra to come out. With Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo you are calling on that shy Soul to awaken and you are creating an environment in which it can express itself." A Powerful Mantra to Use Anytime

As a scientist, I was always taught that every matter (made up of atoms) is in a constant state of vibration. Thanks to the teachers of ancient time, they discovered that specific sounds energized certain parts of the brain. They used these sounds to create sacred words called mantras. So why are they important? They act by reprogramming the vibrations of the cells. Not only do they affect the physical body, they also act upon the Soul. Repetition of a mantra is a way of keeping us in the present and quieting our minds. The lovely Kajal Pandey shares a powerful mantra to use at anytime.

In her own words, "I empower you to elevate your consciousness and tap into your spiritual potential all while living a life you deeply love. I am a catalyst for your growth. Here you will find transformative tools, insights and reflections from my journey on living a whole life as we unlearn fear and reclaim love."

7 Chakras Smoothie

The seven Chakras are the centers in our bodies in which energy flows through. It's imperative to realign, balance, open and heal these chakras. As blocked energy in any of these chakras can lead to illness. My friend Aleksandra created a smoothie which represents each one. Root (red), Sacral (orange), Solar Plexus (yellow), Heart (green), Throat (blue), Third Eye (indigo), and Crown (violet). Watch her creation below!
