What are singing bowls for:
Singing bowls produce sounds which invoke a deep state of relaxation which naturally assists one in entering into meditation, the ultimate goal being enlightenment. They are a quintessential aid to meditation, and can be found on private Buddhist altars, and in temples, monasteries and meditation halls throughout the world.
In addition to their traditional usage for meditation, Tibetan singing bowls are used for deep relaxation, stress reduction, holistic healing, Reiki, chakra balancing, and World music
Special 7 Metal Composition:
Our authentic Tibetan singing bowls are made of an alloy of 7 different metals, which represent the universe.
The seven metals are Gold, Silver, Copper, Zinc, Tin, Iron and Brass.
To Play Singing Bowl
Place the singing bowl on you palm (or fingers if bowl is small) and make as little contact with your skin as possible. Gently hit the rim of singing bowl and move around the outside edge of the singing bowl while keeping light pressure toward the bowl with the wooden striker.
The friction of the mallet against the outer rim produces vibrations which result in sound.
